So, still sick, but capable of posting some follow-up links on some things I’ve talked about before.
One of the topics I’ve discussed a lot is the whole “forcing creationism into schools” thing, one classic example of which was the whole evolution sticker thing.
Well, you may recall that back in January the courts (correctly!) ordered the stickers removed. Apparently that has finally happened:
Workers in Cobb County have begun removing controversial evolution disclaimer stickers from science textbooks to comply with a judge’s order.
…
“It’s a sad day in Cobb County,” said Larry Taylor, a parent who favors including alternatives to evolution in science classes.
I love how the AP uses the phrase “favors including alternatives to evolution” where I would use the phrase “is crazy and wants to replace science with bizarre mythologies arising from a millenia old desert cult”.

On Monday I was stunned to read that Alan Moore’s slice of the V for Vendetta movie money was so small. That mystery is solved:
So to clarify the VENDETTA situation, the small amount Moore cited was for the early part of the option. A much larger check was cut when the movie went into production earlier this year, and went to Lloyd without a problem.

Also on Monday I had a bit of a rant at the censorship-happy Congressman who attacked Bill Maher. Bill has a nice response.
