Wow. I can’t believe Sarah is already 8 months old.
She’s definitely mobile now, and is on the verge of becoming an efficient crawler. She’s talking (in a special language that seems to be mostly made up of “ba”, “ga”, and “da”–which is fine with me because it includes “dada” a lot) and she totally sings.
She is also the girl of 1000 nicknames–it’s kind of funny the number of different things I have called her over the last eight months:
Space Monkey
Herb
Persnickety Cowlicker
Weirdness Module
Jiggs
Wubbly Jo
Frabjuous
…
and so on.
Also, just this week she has started showing interest in books as things to read/look at, rather than things to eat. I am ecstatic.
She’s also mostly sleeping through the night (Yay!), which means we are finally able to go out for dinner again. We got out to Chives (and yes: Chef Craig has still got his mojo working) on Saturday with The Good Neighbours, while Aunt Becky stayed with Sarah, and it was a delight to have a fine dining style meal again.
