Lots of cool things have shown up here in the mail over the last month.
Here’s one:
My DNA cube, from Bathsheba Grossman. It’s on a light pedastel that cycles through a series of colours, making it look even cooler. I have it on display in the rec room–that image in a photo of the cube in situ in the rec room, although you likely can’t tell since the image is really all about the cube itself.
Someday I will have some extra disposable income and I will buy myself the 120-cell as well.
How can you argue with a description like “A 4-dimensional solid projected into 3-space, this polytope is the 4-space analogue of the dodecahedron.” (Sounds pretty geeky, albeit not as geeky as “a d12 for beings from a higher plane” which I have to admit is pretty much what I thought when I saw it. I am a sad man.)
