Quoting now from an email Trish sent me this morning, after Sarah went to her one year doctor’s appointment:
Sarah had her one-year appointment this morning. I don’t have the exact measurements with me, but she’s 90th percentile for height, 75th for weight, and well over 100th for head circumference. She had three needles, each of which got progressively more painful, but she took it like a trooper. The doctor said she would cry for 10 minutes after the chicken pox vaccination, but she quieted right down after the needles were done.
We knew earlier on that she was statistically unlikely baby, but there was some question about whether or not she would grow out of it. Apparently she has at least inherited her Dad’s huge head, and looks like she might be a tall girl. I’m OK with that.
As for the taking her needles like a steely-eyed missle woman thing… I think she must have got that from her Mom, since my pain threshold maxes out somewhere around a paper cut.
