Well, my ISP had a server crash yesterday, which anyone trying to access the blog surely noticed.
Part of the crash recovery involved restoring from their last backup, which was apparently long enough ago that all my September posts are lost. Fortunately, I have local copies of the postings in my RSS reader (yes, I subscribe to my own blog–for just this reason) so I will be able to reconstruct the lost posts in between working on issues today.
I just want to point out that this server crash came right at the apex of both my work stress, and the stress created by the nigh farcical twin sagas of the new oven and the foul septic problems. I may at some point go into details on those later two, if only to get a laugh at myself.
I should probably buy a lottery ticket, or something, since the universe is now running a pretty big negative karma balance with me.
