Wow. After that dip into the pool of Evil, I need something lighter to go to sleep on.
How about some Narnia movie fun.
First, if you haven’t seen the Narnia rap skit from SNL go now and watch it. I haven’t watched SNL in probably a decade, and last watched it regularly when Dana Carvey and Mike Myers were on, but that bit is almost enough to make me want to check it out again.
Then go check out Will Shetterly’s deep analysis of the Christian allegory in the storyline of “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe”. I’d love to see Will’s writeup of the allegory in “The Last Battle”–I suspect that it would explain a lot of the Middle East foreign policy decisions of the Bush administration’s “Christians”.
Finally, you can read Nick Locking’s hilarious and foul-mouthed review of the movie. (All you need to know about Nick is that he has mad love for robots that change into other things, and that lately my opinion of him is almost as high as his own. He’s a Goddamned Rock Star for setting up TheVHive, which excuses a lot of things.)
