Continuing on the theme of my being impressed by the kind of madness that is constructive (this dates back to at least the first time I found out about Korczak Ziolkowski), let us take a moment to reflect upon the kind of person who could build the Underground Fortress.

I am weirdly attracted to the idea. It panders to both my painfully strong drive to own (or at least partake in) an architectural folly, and my secret door/hidden room fetish.

Moving on to today’s amusing science story, I find New Scientist reporting that left-handed people are more inhibited. While I intend to enjoy using this amusing nugget for domestic mockery, one wonders about the wider applicability of the findings given that one of the little-known facts about America’s new President-Elect is that he is sinister.

I’m not sure if it says more about me, or about America, but it took me a really long time make up my mind about whether or not MarryOurDaughter.com was a joke. It’s like the best Onion articles that way. It might have gone faster if I started with the testimonials.
